Spa Day, Etc.

Yesterday I went to the spa with my mom and had my nails done, a massage and a facial. The massage and facial were awesome and I highly recommend the folks who did them (www.mukhaspa.com --Annisa and Nicole). There were some things they couldn't do because I am pregnant but I don't feel like I missed anything.

Today I am working on travel stuff and ran across 2 articles that say you can travel up until month 8 but that you should try not to during the first 12 weeks. So I have two work travels during this time--one in week 8 and one in week 11. I am a little concerned but trying not to worry about it too much because:
  • I have to go--I could tell my work and maybe get someone else to but then that might create work stress/tension beyond just going
  • Really anything can be bad if you aren't careful. I also read an article which said you shouldn't drive when you are pregnant, or use a computer. Pretty much every pregnant woman I've known, including those who have recently or not so recently delivered has driven a car to get to their job of sitting in front of a computer. So you can't always believe what you read--you have to make your own decisions with the info you have

So I am wishing I didn't have to go but it won't be that big of deal. Heck, on all my trips this year I have a king-sized bed so it could actually be easier to sleep and all that away from home!

Other than that--I still have gas, acid reflux and minor indigestion but it really isn't worth getting too excited about. I took my prenatal at night last night instead of in the morning and I am noticing a difference today (feel a smidge better) but when I woke up last night in the middle of the night I felt pretty yucko. I need to take some 'snacks' upstairs for emergencies:)
