Pretty Evie

So yesterday turned out ok. Daddy ended up going to work and coming home early really sick so it was truly a girl's day 'alone' for most of the day. We did good though and Evie took some nice naps where Mommy could relax and get chores done. I have seriously had to do laundry at least once a day since she got home from poopie blow-outs and her peeing when I am changing her diaper or the few major spit-ups she's had. It is crazy.

She got her first 'real' bath yesterday where we completely dunked her and didn't just sponge bathe. It went better than the sponge baths but she still hated it. Hopefully she will grow to like them ok?

More pictures up on the Voellmecke's website. Here are two of my new favorites:

I'm so enjoying your updates about Evie - hope Matt's feeling better. It's a little scary the first time you're alone with a baby, but I know you did great. Love, Judy

Love the Kiss Me onsie!
Evie will absolutely love baths, usually after they get more head control. I can hardly get Alaina out!

I am glad you are both able to check in on Evie this way. It's funny but the worst part of being alone is the puppies--they are so needy when I start feeding her--they want inside, then outside, then inside and it makes me crazy:)

So far so good though, she is a fairly easy baby to date!

Bite your tongue Amy - NEVER say a baby is easy!!! Seriously, I'm glad it's going so well - guess you have a little sibling rivalry going on with Evie and the pups!

Our dogs are the same way. It's absolutely a "sibling rivalry"/jealousy thing. They never wanted to go out as much as when we had to start closing that laundry room door. Now, all we do is up and down.
I'm glad Evie is "easy." I think that's a natural mechanism to build a new mom's confidence, learn the routine, etc. It helps with bonding. Don't know what I would have done with a colicky baby!
