Lesson Learned

When a 3 year old asks for lotion at naptime and you say "wait until later", don't leave some in reach when you leave the room.

Priceless

Last night on our way to dinner out, Evie said, "after we eat we can go to the diamond store."

She's a bit young for 'diamonds are a girl's best friend,' isn't she?

Evie Goes To The Dentist!

Evie had her first real appointment with the dentist today (Dr. Mary, our family dentist), and she did GREAT! She was so excited, that going to the dentist was the lure actually used to get her up and going this morning!

Mommy & Evie arrived in time to watch them working on me, and Evie watched attentively, then jumped right up in the chair when it was her turn and did great. She cooperated with Dr. Mary through the exam, the brushing (Evie chose bubblegum flavor - despite never having HAD bubblegum. She loved it), and even flossing! During the brushing Evie even did the "rinse and spit" - she took the whole thing very seriously, and did so well, Dr. Mary told her she could pick TWO prizes from the chest afterward.

Halfway for T2

Baby 2 has just passed the twenty week mark and we had ultrasound last week. Everything looks really good and baby is progressing well!

Arm/Fingers
Face (and some arm action)Legs crossed

Baby is in there 'Indian style' and moving around a bit. Hopefully this one will be calm like Evie was (in utero anyway, she is anything but calm right now :) ).

Evie at one point thought baby was a girl because I am a girl. When told that it could be a boy she said "I would not like that" but last week she said that if it is a boy, we can just give it to daddy to take care of and that would be ok. I informed her that we will all take care of baby regardless of gender. We didn't find out so baby's gender is still a mystery!

Evie is 3!

Evie turned 3 on Saturday and is doing a great job of telling everyone and showing folks her 3 fingers (on both hands at once which is technically 6 but hey, she is only 3). We did family/birthday photos that morning (they turned out AWESOME, can't wait til they come in) and then played, did lunch, opened a marathon number of presents, napped, played and then went on to Easter the next day (aka more presents and playing). It was a busy but fun weekend.

Some highlights:
She had a special birthday cupcake with Dora on it for breakfast.
She made a wish when she blew out the candles.

She had a great day and got many nice things, including clothes, princess bike, camera and zoo pass. The next day was Easter so she got even more stuff and had a blast with the Easter egg hunt.
