I was at work, running interviews for Optometry students, and people kept asking me if I had felt any braxton hicks, to which I replied 'no'. Meanwhile, I was actually having real, full-on contractions. I had 'false labor' the night before so I figured I would just keep timing them and stay working, then went home and we took both dogs to the vet, ate dinner, and I just kept having contractions about 8-10 minutes apart for forever. We went to bed and I woke up when they got really intense and closer together and we trooped over to the hospital to have Evie the next afternoon.
This morning, my teeny-tiny baby demanded that she wear her pajama shirt to school (with jeans of course) and had to get a drink out of the water fountain at daycare, resulting in the usual soaked baby we experience most mornings. She also deemed a coat unnecessary even though it was only 40 degrees out.
It seems like things have changed, just a little:) I also asked Evie what tomorrow was and without further prompting she said "my birthday" and so I asked how old she would be, to which she replied "blue." Close enough, isn't it?
